BANDITS 55 MAJOR DEBUT SUCCESSFUL

The Bandits first tournament of the year was promising. Playing for the first time as a 55 Major team, they went 5-1 in the Spring Training Classic in Phoenix. Losing only to Los Viejos Vatos in a seeding game on Sunday morning, the Bandits finally put the offense and defense together rolling through the single elimination format. After spanking CJ & S Express they faced a rematch with the number one seed Viejos. Vieojos had not lost a game to this point, going 5-0.

The Bandits scored 5 in the first and never looked back enroute to a big win. Lots of hitting and several huge double plays sealed the victory. It was awesome to see Kenny Hill and Barry Morten back in a Bandits uniform along with newcomers Mark Walsh and Danny Bourget.

Next up is Mesquite / St. George for the Spring Championships where the competition is sure to be tougher.

Stats to follow. (maybe)
